Have you purchased band director resources on Teachers Pay Teachers? If so, did you know that you can earn TpT credits toward future purchases by leaving feedback on products that you already own? The process is simple and over time, will save you (or your school) a ton of money! Providing feedback on your purchases is a WIN-WIN! You (the customer) can gain points toward future purchases and the seller will appreciate hearing your feedback on the resources they’ve created.
Here are the steps you need to take in order to earn TpT credits:
1.) Locate Your Past TpT Purchases
Simply log into your teacherspayteachers.com account. Then, locate your past purchases by clicking on your profile name and then clicking on “My Purchases.”
2. Choose a Product to Leave Feedback On
Once you have located your purchases, you can quickly tell which ones need feedback by scrolling through the list. The newest resources you’ve purchased will be at the top of the list. There is also a tab for free resources that you’ve downloaded. While you don’t receive credit for leaving feedback on free resources, the sellers really appreciate your comments!
Click “provide feedback” to leave a rating and comments on a particular product that you’ve purchased.
3. Leave Helpful Feedback
The sellers who create TpT resources value and appreciate feedback from their customers. We read every comment on products in the Band Directors Talk Shop store and are so encouraged when we read how they are helping other directors and their students. We also love hearing new ideas of how you are using our products in ways we hadn’t thought of!
You will hit “submit” once you are finished leaving feedback. Then, go back to step 1 and repeat the process for additional purchases.
4. How to Use Your TpT Credits
The next time you make a TpT purchase, you will see a “Redeem TpT Credits” drop down in your cart. You will need a minimum of 20 credits (earned from feedback on $20 of purchases) before you are able to to use them toward the purchase of a resource. These credits do not expire, so keep leaving feedback to gain more points!
For every dollar spent on TpT, you earn one point. TpT rounds up, so if you spend $9.80, you will earn 10 credits after leaving feedback. When you want to use your credits, every 20 that you earn equals $1.00 that you can apply to your purchase. So, when you have 100 points, you can get $5.00 off of your purchase! Remember, you must have at least 20 credits before you are able to use them at checkout.
In this example, the buyer has 39 credits to use. Once you click “apply credits” you can see that the buyer will be able to apply the discount.
In the next picture, you can see that the 39 TpT credits have been applied and the buyer received a discount of $1.95 at checkout.
We realized that many TpT users simply aren’t aware that they can receive these points toward future purchases. It is so easy to take an extra few minutes of time to earn FREE MONEY toward some great resources!
